About Ramzi Kiriakos M.D.

Ramzi Kiriakos M.D.

I have been a psychiatrist for over 30 years and treat patients of all ages and diagnoses. My aim is to provide personal patient oriented services tailored to the needs of my patient, as an individual. I use different psychotherapies and medications as indicated. Patient care has always been the most gratifying work of my career life. Helping my patients resolve their issues and satisfying their needs has been my goal.

I am board certified in Adult Psychiatry. The American Board of Adolescent Psychiatry and the American Society of Addiction Medicine have also certified me. I taught psychiatric residents at UCLA Department of Psychiatry about psychiatric conditions and therapy for those conditions. I was awarded the UCLA Hall of fame award in 2007. I received a Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition for service to the community. In addition to extensive clinical experience in the areas of women's issues, mood disorder and psychosis I also did research in these areas. I was Medical Director of two dual diagnoses programs, one adolescent and one adult. I have treated patients from adolescents to mature adults. I also can treat individuals with complicated and demanding lives.

In summary I treat: Mood Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, OCD, Psychotic Disorders, Eating Disorders, Addiction Disorders, PTSD, Trauma and Additional Life Stresses & Losses. See Patient Services

I welcome consultations with colleagues on patients with difficult issues for second opinions or on-going supervision.

I have 30 years extensive experience in different areas of psychiatric care. I have treated teens to seniors. My experience and skills allowed me to be Medical Director in many different hospitals. I have been treating my patients as well as supervising other doctors, conducting the care of inpatients and outpatients. The one professional activity I like most is working one to one with patients. I work to identify and resolve your issues that cause your anxiety or discomfort. Whenever I am not with other patients I personally will take your calls and make my own appointments

I am able to conduct all the above professional activities in French as well.
